World Model Expo 2020 - ANNULEE

World Model Expo postponed to 2021
With the ever increasing Covid-19 pandemic and no short term solution to be expected, we had to draw the inevitable conclusion that the World Model Expo cannot be held as planned in July of this year.

As organizers, and on behalf of the World Model Soldier Federation, we also have a responsibility for health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff, and we take this responsibility serious.
Continued and stricter measures in all countries with regards to internal and cross border travelling, and a ban on all events for a longer period of time, have forced us in the past weeks to investigate the options and we can announce that the 11th World Model Expo in Eindhoven will now take place on July 2-3 and 4 2021.
We hope that the world be a healthier place in 15 months from now and that all of you will stay safe and healthy.
Practical info:
Workshops:
As the new dates are 15 months from, we cannot yet assure that the same teachers who had planned to conduct their workshops at the WME will be available then and if they will stay on board. We will first need to check with them and then will let you know if the workshop you booked for will take place at WME 2021. You can then decide whether you wish to cancel your registration or not.
We will send all participants an email about this in the days to come with the proper procedures. Please understand it will take time to get feedback from all the workshop teachers, so be patient and keep an eye on your email inbox, and the spam folder too.
Vendors:
We will send all registered vendors a newsletter by email, in which we explain the situation for them and which steps to take. We ask all registered vendors to watch their spam folder too, so we can avoid unnecessary email traffic. Vendors can expect that email by Friday latest. Until then, please be patient.
Hotel rooms:
The hotel, NH Eindhoven Conference Centre Koningshof, has informed us that it is not possible for them to automatically change all reservations that are made. Practically this means that all room reservations will be cancelled, obviously free of charge, and that you should make new reservations as soon as we can re-open the NH event tool again. WE aore sorry that we cannot bring you any better news, but we do not run the hotel.
We will announce on the WME website and on Facebook when the NH Event Tool can be used for reservations again.

J'ai vieilli le tableau de bord magnifiquement réalisé par Eduard et j'ai ajouté les vitres des instruments en acétate à l'emporte pièce et j'en ai refait quelques unes cassées.

Le cockpit se termine doucement et bientôt je vais pouvoir fermer la cellule.

Mig-17 Malien 2

Small update of my MIG-17, although having posted little I finished the figurines and the Lada Niva. All this is ready to go in painting.
Otherwise, I resumed the assembly by starting to remove the additions in photo etched which were just glued and sanded on the cell. I pierced the access hatches to include them in the cell. I also started riveting the exterior surfaces.

Well, I still have a job ...

Petite mise a jour de mon MIG-17, bien qu'ayant peu posté j'ai terminé les figurines et la Lada Niva. Tout cela est prêt à partir en peinture.
Sinon, j'ai repris l'assemblage en commencant à retirer les ajouts en photo etched qui étaient juste collés et poncés sur la cellule. J'ai percé les trappes d'accés pour les y inclure dans la cellule. Egalement j'ai commencé le rivetage des surfaces exterieurs.

Bon, j'ai encore du boulot...

Je vous fait un petit résumé du projet sur lequel je travaille depuis quelques temps. Nu MIG-17 Malien dans son jus qui a bien vécu abandonné au Mali.

Je ne vais pas tout reprendre, les photos parlent d'elle meme. Je vous met l'historique jusque la ou je suis arrivé.

I'll give you a little summary of the project I've been working on for some time. A Malian MIG-17 in its own right that lived well abandoned in Mali.

I'm not going to take it all again, the photos speak for themselves. I will give you the history until I got there.

REVIEW Crew School by David Parker

Je vous présente le dernier livre écrit par David Parker sur la réalisation de figurines pour "habiller" nos blindés.

Étant fan de gros véhicules Russes, j'aime mettre une figurine à coté afin de donner une échelle de taille à la maquette mais la réalisation des figurines n'est pas une chose facile quand on est pas figuriniste et que l'on a pas forcément envie de passer plus de temps sur les figurines que sur la maquette.

Dans cet ouvrage David nous propose une méthode efficace sur la base des peintures Lifecolor pour la réalisation des visages et tenues ainsi qu'une approche sur les modifications des plus simples à des choses un peu plus complexes, les sujets sont essentiellement au 1/35 mais aussi quelques exemples au 1/16 sont également présentés.

Nous avons un livre de 112 p dont une partie sur la peinture des visages, uniformes et camouflages.

Une partie sur les petites transformations (modifications des bras, poses, têtes), comment donner du dynamisme au modèle et une partie sur la création des figurines à partir de base ayant déjà les proportions du corps ce qui représente la moité de l'ouvrage.

L'autre moitié est constitué de photos des pièces de D Parker avec la réalisation, mise en place, modification et création des figurines pour ces modèles. Dans l'appendice vous trouverez également les différents matériaux et produits utilisés.

Nous connaissons tous David Parker pour la qualité de ces réalisations et la finesse de sa peinture et dans ce livre qui est un peu le maillon manquant pour les maquettistes afin de réaliser des figurines de qualités sans rentrer dans un travail de figuriniste.

Un must have pour tous monteurs de blindés voulant ajouter des figurines.
